Tonderai Masara is a Registered Counselling Psychologist (MSc), with the Allied Health Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe with over 6 years of experience working in the mental health sector. As a psychologist, l collaboratively work with clients to help improve their mental health and emotional wellbeing, in a holistic and insightful way that enables them to consider change and take control of their life. Through the use of different psychological theories, interventions and research, l help clients with different difficult life issues from children, adults, families, couples and groups.  The main focus being to formulate tailor made psychological intervention plans that help improve psychological functioning and well-being, of clients across a diverse range of disciplines and backgrounds.

Mr. Masara takes pride in championing the promotion mental health information dissemination. He founded the periodical known as Mental Balance Series Magazine (www.mentalbalanceseries.com) with the goal of increasing public understanding of mental health issues. He is a mental health advocate who makes it simpler for people to get the empowering tools they require, upholding, advancing, and integrating community mental health knowledge. He is passionate about  mental health issues.

He strongly believes we are all works-in-progress and it takes effort and dedication to grow and evolve in a positive direction. Fortunately, there is never a bad time to set new goals for oneself, and it’s never too late to pick up a habit that can improve your well-being for the rest of your life. Whether one is  dealing with distress, working through relationship struggles, or simply trying to change your life in some ways, there are many resources available to help you be the best version of yourself, hence it takes a little help and some  guidance.

We shouldn’t limit life to merely childhood, adulthood, employment, a few trips, retirement, and death, without something to strive for, as we move through time and space without direction. Having a purpose helps us identify our objectives. Life is made smoother and more enjoyable with victories and triumphs over all adversities life throws at us. lastly, my research areas of interest revolves around issues to do with mental health, vocational and career development, and addictions treatment.
