Herbert Zirima- Lead Consultant is an Associate Professor at Great Zimbabwe University, a holder of a BSc in Psychology, MSc in Educational Psychology and Dphil in Psychology. He is a State Licensed Educational Psychologist and also a member of the American Psychological Association (APA). He has worked for the Schools Psychological Services and currently a senior lecturer in Psychology. His experience has been in working with children and developing educational programmes for gifted and other exceptional children. Together with other psychologists, Prof. Zirima has designed and offered Training programmes for School leaders, Prefects and Peer Counsellors. Prof. Zirima has provided mental health promotion programmes for private and public organisations over the past ten years.
Prof Zirima is a member of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Mental Health Special Initiative for Zimbabwe for the provision of support and expert advice on mental health issues in Zimbabwe. He is also Part Time Clinical Supervisor, Childline, Zimbabwe – Provision of debriefing and psychotherapy sessions to social workers.
